Formula selection
We prefer recognised mathematical relationships and exact published conversion constants. Where multiple standards exist—such as US and Imperial gallons—the interface identifies the choice. Calculator logic is controlled in reviewed source code, not executable database content.
Review and sources
Articles are checked for dimensional consistency, plain-language clarity and appropriate limitations. Primary standards, manufacturer material and official documentation are preferred when a claim needs an external source. Factual values are separated from estimates and assumptions.
Corrections
Reported errors are reproduced using the supplied inputs. Material formula errors are prioritised, corrected in code and rechecked across related tools. Editorial wording is updated when it could cause a user to misunderstand a result.
