How to use MPG to KM/L Converter

Formula used
km/L = MPG × 1.609344 ÷ litres per gallon. US: 3.785411784 L; Imperial: 4.54609 L.
Worked example
30 US MPG is 12.7543 km/L. The same numeric 30 Imperial MPG is 10.6202 km/L.
What the result means
Choose the source MPG standard before converting. The two answers differ because the gallon volumes differ.
