Formula used
L/100km = 100 × litres per gallon ÷ (MPG × 1.609344).
Worked example
30 US MPG is 7.84 L/100km; 30 Imperial MPG is 9.42 L/100km.
What the result means
This is an inverse conversion: higher MPG corresponds to lower L/100km.
